Urea-formaldehyde (UF), also known as urea-methanal, so named for its common synthesis pathway and overall structure, is a nontransparent thermosetting resin or polymer. It is produced from urea and formaldehyde. During the production of UF toilet seats, the material is put into the molds and then compressed with a weight of 600 tons at a temperature of 140℃~160℃ for 180~220 minutes. This makes sure the toilet seats to be solid enough to endure a weight of 300kgs and to endure harsh cold temperatures.
